Kulbir, the founder of KK Yoga & Therapy, is an experienced and dedicated yoga instructor specialising in Iyengar yoga. With over 30 years of practise, she is a fully certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher, making her classes safe and suitable for practitioners of all ages and abilities.
Iyengar Yoga is a unique style of yoga that focuses on improving posture, flexibility, and mindfulness. Kulbir incorporates clear demonstrations and explanations of postures, with a strong emphasis on alignment and body awareness. She provides individual correction and adjustment when necessary, ensuring that students achieve the correct alignment and maximise the benefits of each pose.
One of the key features of Iyengar Yoga is the use of props, such as blocks, blankets, and belts. These props aid in developing the body's understanding of the actions of the pose, making them particularly beneficial for those who are stiff or dealing with injuries. Kulbir carefully sequences her classes to develop strength, flexibility, stamina, concentration, and relaxation.
In addition to her yoga classes, Kulbir also offers Bowen therapy, a gentle and non-invasive therapy that focuses on addressing specific physical and health issues. However, due to the current Covid-19 situation, these therapy sessions are temporarily unavailable.
Kulbir's yoga classes are available both in person and online. With the use of Zoom and videos, students can easily access her classes from the comfort of their own homes.
