In addition to building strength, flexibility, balance, and stability, regular yoga practise has a wide range of physical and mental benefits. It can reduce stress, improve body awareness, and promote overall mental well-being. Yoga is not just about the physical postures (asanas), but also includes breath techniques (pranayama) and meditation (Dhyana). Kirsty incorporates these elements into her classes, offering a holistic approach to yoga.
Kirsty's love for yoga stems from her own personal experiences and challenges. She understands the impact that mindfulness and movement can have on one's life, and she is passionate about sharing that with others. Having gone through periods of physical and mental health challenges herself, Kirsty knows firsthand the therapeutic effects of yoga. She aims to help others find the same benefits and support them on their own journey to wellness.
Apart from being a yoga instructor, Kirsty is also a proud cat owner and a lover of animals. She and her husband rescued a black cat named Walter from the Blue Cross, who rules their household. Kirsty was born in Leeds and spent her early childhood in Derbyshire before moving back to Suffolk, where she currently resides in Felixstowe. Her connexion to the local community adds to the warm and welcoming atmosphere of her classes.
