Emma Harrison has been practising Iyengar yoga for an impressive 32 years, making her a highly skilled and respected teacher. She completed the rigorous two-year Iyengar yoga training programme at the prestigious Iyengar Yoga Institute in London, earning her qualification as an Introductory yoga teacher. She further advanced her training to reach the teaching level of Intermediate Junior level 2.

With a deep passion for Iyengar yoga, Emma's own professional development is ongoing. She regularly attends classes with Jayne Orton, one of the only two advanced level Iyengar teachers in the UK, and also participates in online classes with Abhijata Iyengar. Emma has had the honour of studying directly with Geeta Iyengar, daughter of the founder B. K.

S Iyengar, during her visit to Pune, India. This exposure to the Iyengar family and their senior teachers at the Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI) has further enriched her understanding and practise.

With a special interest in scoliosis, Emma has studied with Elise Browning Miller, a senior Iyengar teacher from California. Drawing from her own experience with a mild scoliosis, Emma has gained valuable insights and techniques to effectively guide students with similar conditions.

Emma's love for Iyengar yoga is evident in her teaching. She is passionate about deepening her own understanding and knowledge through regular practise, and she takes great joy in sharing the numerous benefits of Iyengar yoga with her students.
