Hadleigh Badminton Club 🎉
Join the buzzing Hadleigh Badminton Club in Ipswich! Our season runs from September to the end of April, with club nights every Wednesday and match nights on Mondays. During May to July, we keep the fun going with a summer club. We welcome everyone – men, women, and juniors aged 14-18.
We’re all about promoting badminton, especially for young players. That’s why we’ve got a qualified Badminton England Coach ready to help anyone who needs it. Proudly part of the Ipswich and District Badminton League, Suffolk Badminton Association, and Badminton England, we play one home match each week from October to March.
Our teams compete in the Ipswich and District Badminton League: Mixed team in Division 5, Mens A in Division 4, and Mens B in Division 6. 🎯
Established in 1947, we’ve got a rich history. Initially at the Town Hall, we moved to the Sports Barn at Hadleigh High School in 1971, where we still play today. Our badge features the town's Coat of Arms, making us uniquely Hadleigh.
Want to join or learn more? Check out our website for all the details. You can also contact our friendly secretary, Alan Hughes, for more info on club nights, venues, and directions. Our website also has team results and useful links to other badminton organisations.
We host pay-as-you-go sessions every Monday from 8pm to 10pm at the Hadleigh High Leisure Centre. Everyone's welcome, and you can get plenty of advice and help. It’s just £5 for adults and £4 for those under 18. For more info, chat with Alan Hughes directly.
Come and be part of our badminton family! 🏸
