The Head Teacher of Goshin Isshinryu Karate Association. Sensei Ramathas has been actively involved in the practise and teaching of karate for over 20 years. He is currently a 5th DAN Renshi in Isshin-Ryu Karate.

The Goshin Isshinryu Karate Association is dedicated to promoting the art of Isshin-Ryu Karate in London. Isshin-Ryu Karate was developed in the late 1940s and early 1950s by Grand Master Tatsuo Shimabuku. It combines elements of different karate styles that Grand Master Shimabuku studied, along with his own innovations. As many of his students were United States military personnel, variations in Isshin-Ryu exist today.

The association is led by a team of experienced and highly skilled instructors. Sensei Kichiro Shimabuku, a 10th DAN Hanshi, brings a wealth of experience to the school. Sensei Michael Calandra, an 8th DAN Kyoshi, is dedicated to the growth and development of his students. Sensei Donald Morrison, a 6th DAN Renshi, has been training in karate for over 30 years.

And Sensei Muthusami Ramathas, a 5th DAN Renshi, is passionate about teaching and sharing his knowledge with students.

The association organises various events and tournaments both nationally and internationally. These events provide an opportunity for students to showcase their skills and compete with other karateka. Some notable events include the I. W.

K. A World Karate Championship, the Isshin Ryu World Karate Championship USA, the World Union Karate Federation Championship, and the GIKA Inter Club Tournaments in the UK.

Daniel Rubyjoseph, who has been attending karate since 2009, credited Sensei Ramathas for teaching him discipline and courage, which has helped him achieve his black belt.
