Eastside Boxing Club

Located in Newport, Eastside Boxing Club is a boxing gym that offers training for amateurs and beginners. Led by their experienced coach, Joseph, who has been involved in boxing for over 40 years, the club provides a supportive and motivating environment for individuals who aim to keep fit or pursue a boxing career.

Joseph's impressive boxing career includes winning 7 Welsh titles and a British title during his time as an amateur boxer. He then made the decision to turn professional, having 12 pro fights before unfortunately suffering a stroke. However, Joseph's recovery allowed him to return to the sport he loves, this time as a coach for the young talented amateur boxers at Eastside Boxing Club.

The gym boasts a winners atmosphere, making it a place where every member can enjoy their training sessions. Whether you are a complete beginner, an intermediate, or even looking for boxercise and toning sessions, Eastside Boxing Club caters to individuals of all ages and genders. The club also offers a junior introduction to boxing programme, aimed at nurturing the champions of the future.

Since its establishment in 2016, Eastside Boxing Club has gained recognition for its excellent coaching and success in competitions throughout Wales. With three Welsh champions and a Welsh international already produced by the club, it is clear that their dedication to training and development pays off.

The training hours at Eastside Boxing Club are Monday through Friday, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The sessions are divided into different levels, with learners and juniors training from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM and intermediate amateurs training from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Additionally, the club offers a ladies boxercise session on Thursdays from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
