The club boasts a meticulously maintained lawn green, which provides an excellent playing surface for bowlers of all skill levels. The green was originally donated by Mrs. Jacobs, a widow of a Mason, and has been a cherished amenity for the residents of the Prince George, Duke of Kent Court Masonic Home since 1974.
In 2006, with changes in resident demographics and an increasingly diverse membership, the club acquired a new site in Mottingham, London, thanks to financial aid from the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution. The new site, leased from the London Borough of Bromley, features its own purpose-built green and clubhouse. The clubhouse was extended in 2015, thanks to a generous legacy left by the late George D. Fluester, a respected member of the club.
This expansion has allowed for improved facilities and enhanced social spaces, ensuring an enjoyable experience for all members. /Our Club/Our Facilities Copyright 2021 Duke of Kent Court Bowls Club Our Club Members Info Photo Gallery Fixtures-Results Competitions The Club Community The Duke of Kent Court Bowls Club is not just a sporting institution but also a vibrant community. Over time, the club evolved to include members who were not residents of the home, and in 2006, it was asked to find new facilities. With the financial assistance of the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution, the club acquired its current site in Mottingham, London.
The club, registered as a Community Amateur Sports Club in October 2006, built its own green and clubhouse, completing the project in April 2007. This relocation was made possible through the tireless efforts of the club's then Chairman, Edward G. Camp, who played a pivotal role in the planning and execution of the project. He later became the Life President of the club until his passing in 2018.
The club has a rich history and is proud of its roots while looking forward to a bright future. /Our Club/Our History Copyright 2021 Duke of Kent Court Bowls Club Our Club Members Info Photo Gallery Fixtures-Results Competitions How to Find Us The Duke of Kent Court Bowls Club is located at Mottingham Playing Fields with the entrance adjacent to House No. 127 Dunkery Road, London, SE9 4HY.
