Matt invites everyone from the sports community to check out Denmead Skatepark, located in the King George V Recreation Ground, Waterlooville. This spot is a favourite among skateboarders, BMX riders, and scooter enthusiasts. You'll find metal-framed composite ramps on a tarmac base, making for a smooth ride.
A highlight of the skatepark are the two spined mini ramps, perfect for trying out some cool tricks. There's also quarter pipes, flat banks, and jump boxes for all skill levels to enjoy.
The park's had its ups and downs since opening in 2003, especially with noise complaints leading to it being fenced off. But in 2010, Evolution Skateparks stepped in and sorted out those issues by updating the surface material. Now, it’s a top-notch place that’s much more neighbour-friendly.
Denmead Skatepark is free to use and has specific opening and closing times. It's located at Lowland Road, Denmead, Hampshire, PO7 6YR, with free parking available when the car park’s open.
You’ll also find toilets in the pavilion, though their availability depends on the park’s opening hours.
Big shoutouts to eibe and Evolution Skateparks who helped design and build this fantastic space. The Skateparks Project keeps the park’s website up to date with news, resources, and info for anyone interested in skateparks.
Denmead Skatepark is a great spot for riders of all levels, from beginners to pros. Come on down and enjoy the range of features and the friendly atmosphere! Matt hopes to see you there.
