Dear Sports Community,
Tom has put in a lot of effort to inform everyone about the Colchester Angling Preservation Society Ltd (CAPS), a well-established fishing club based in Colchester, UK. Since 1921, CAPS has been offering excellent angling opportunities in Essex, focusing on both improving existing fisheries and acquiring new waters.
As an organiser, Tom wants to highlight that CAPS provides its members with access to a wide variety of fishing venues. These include 15 stillwaters covering over 80 acres, more than 12 miles of the Chelmer & Blackwater Canal, a 5-mile stretch of the River Stour between Nayland and Langham, and a 1-mile section of the River Stour at Henny. These waters host a range of fish species, including Carp over 40lb, Tench exceeding 12lb, and Chub reaching 6lb, among others. Many of these venues even allow night fishing, catering to both Carp enthusiasts and those seeking a peaceful day by the water.
Tom has been committed to maintaining and improving the quality of the fishing experience at CAPS. This includes stocking fish, building swims, and recently installing Otter fencing to protect certain fisheries. The club aims to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all who share a passion for angling.
For those interested in joining CAPS, Tom advises to complete the online application. Please note that membership might already be closed for the current year due to high demand. For any membership-related queries, members can contact CAPS via [email protected].
Whether you're an experienced Carp angler looking for a record catch or someone seeking a relaxing fishing day, Tom assures that CAPS can provide the right venue for you. The club's dedication to maintaining well-kept waters ensures members have access to some of the best fishing locations in Essex.
Best regards,
Tom
