Susanna Edwards is a registered physiotherapist under the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP) and the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP). She is also part of the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) and the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP). Clearwater Physiotherapy and Pilates offers Pilates classes led by a physiotherapist at the Retreat New Forest. The Pilates for Wellbeing class focuses on building strength, flexibility, balance, bone health, reducing stress, and improving posture. It is a gentle class suitable for beginners or those returning to Pilates. The Healthy Bones class is specifically designed for clients with joint or bone conditions, reduced mobility, or balance issues.
This class combines standing and chair-based Pilates and aims to improve strength, bone health, balance, flexibility, and posture. Class sizes are limited to 6–8 clients per class to ensure personalised attention.
Susanna Edwards, the founder of Clearwater Physiotherapy and Pilates, has been a Chartered Physiotherapist since 2000. She holds a BSc (hons) degree in Physiotherapy and a master's degree (MSc) in Manipulative Therapy. With extensive experience in the NHS, private sector, and academia, Susanna has treated various conditions and published research in the field. She has a special interest in women's health, spinal pain and conditions, muscle imbalances, and chronic pain.
Her expertise in physiotherapy complements her training as a Pilates instructor, allowing her to offer a well-rounded approach to clients' health and well-being.
