Chisana Senshi Karate Club is a renowned karate club located in Leeds, New Zealand. Established in 2019 by Sensei Shelly Collinson, a respected instructor with over 40 years of experience, the club offers classes for individuals aged 4 years and above.
With a focus on Shotokan Karate, Chisana Senshi Karate Club aims to provide a comprehensive learning experience that not only improves fitness and health but also develops essential skills such as coordination, agility, and balance. Students also learn discipline, respect, and concentration, fostering self-confidence in the process.
The club's Chief Instructor, Sensei Shelly Collinson, is a highly accomplished karateka, having attained the rank of 3rd Dan. She continues to train and compete nationally and internationally, earning World and European Titles. Sensei Shelly's expertise and passion for karate are evident in her teaching and her commitment to the KKO GB Team.
In addition to Sensei Shelly, the club's team includes Sensei Richard, an instructor with 18 years of experience, who trains the Little Warriors. Sensei Richard also competes at the national level. Samantha, the club's Administrator, ensures smooth operations and assists members with any inquiries they may have.
The club conducts its training sessions at St. Lukes Community Centre located on Stanks Lane North in Swarcliffe, Leeds.
Chisana Senshi Karate Club is proud of its members' achievements in various competitions. The club regularly participates in both interclub and open competitions, showcasing the skills and determination of its karatekas.
