Cardiff Higashi Karate Club is a well-respected martial arts school based right here in Cardiff, Wales. Specialising in Higashi, Wado Kai Karate, the club is open to everyone, no matter your age or fitness level. With Nici Lintern-Gittens, a 4th Dan black belt and head instructor with over 30 years of experience, students are in great hands.
Nici’s goal is simple: to offer top-notch karate instruction to all. The club’s inclusive approach means anyone can start – the main thing you need is a willingness to learn and practise. Feel free to drop by a training session or watch to get a sense of the club’s friendly atmosphere.
The club welcomes children from the age of six, requiring a bit of concentration, but there’s no upper age limit for adults. So, it’s never too late to start your karate journey here.
In addition to regular training, Cardiff Higashi also hosts grading exams to help students progress and achieve higher ranks. For the competitive folks, there are opportunities to test skills against other martial artists. Keep an eye out on the club’s calendar for important dates and events.
