Welcome to Calgary Spartan Wrestling Club, a youth wrestling club in Calgary dedicated to developing young athletes in the sport of freestyle wrestling.
At Calgary Spartan Wrestling Club, athletes of all experience levels are welcomed, from beginners to advanced. We cater to both males and females aged 4–18 years old, providing a safe and supportive environment for all to learn and grow in the sport.
Our practice schedule is designed to accommodate busy school and family schedules. We offer training sessions at two locations – North and South Calgary – on different days of the week. Our experienced coaches work with athletes to improve their skills, technique, and conditioning to help them achieve their wrestling goals.
We take pride in the achievements of our athletes, with some of them competing and winning accolades at national and international tournaments. Emmanuel Olapade, a member of our club, was the 2022 Senior Pan-American Champion and the 6th Canadian male in history to win the tournament.
In addition to training, we also focus on instilling important values in our athletes. Our Spartan Principles encourage humility, hard work, and attention to detail, ensuring that our athletes not only excel in wrestling but also in life.
