CSKA National

CSKA National is a renowned martial arts school located in Calgary, affiliated with the Canadian Shotokan Karate Association (CSKA) National Body. The school is committed to providing traditional training for the serious student and upholding the highest standards in Shotokan Karate.

The school is led by a team of experienced and dedicated Directors, including Robert Hargreaves, who serves as the President and Head Instructor with a 7th Dan Black Belt. John Hanratty, the Technical Chair, brings over 45 years of Shotokan experience as an 8th Dan Black Belt. Sean Meehan, the Vice President and Head Instructor, is a 5th Dan Black Belt with a wealth of expertise in Shotokan Karate.

CSKA National offers a range of classes for students of all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. The instructors are committed to developing each student to their highest potential, both in terms of skill and character. The school's Honbu Dojo is conveniently located at 6020 2 St SE B17, Phillips site.

Prospective clubs interested in affiliating with CSKA National can follow a two-phase Affiliation process, starting with an introduction and assessment phase followed by implementation and certification. Club Head Instructors can submit an application form to the CSKA to begin the process.
