Bliss by Robin Yoga (Stroud) was established in 2015 by Robin, the first teenager in the UK to become a yoga instructor. With personal experience in using yoga to navigate her teenage years, Robin is passionately committed to sharing the benefits of yoga and empowering others to live happier, healthier, and more peaceful lives.
The mission of Bliss by Robin is to empower every young person with effective and engaging tools to support their mental health. Through yoga, young individuals can learn how to de-stress, improve focus, and develop a stronger connexion with their physical bodies. This practise helps relieve muscular tension and strengthens the entire body, with particular emphasis on the core and back.
In addition to physical benefits, Bliss by Robin incorporates mindfulness, meditation, and relaxation techniques to encourage young people to take control of their mental health. While some may still perceive yoga as a practise only suited for certain individuals, Robin emphasises that there are numerous styles of yoga to suit various needs. In fact, yoga is now prescribed by doctors in the NHS, utilised by top athletes, integrated into school timetables, practised in prisons, and implemented in workplaces.
For those interested in exploring different styles of yoga, Bliss by Robin recommends Movement for Modern Life (MFML). MFML offers over 15 different styles of yoga, with more than 1000 videos led by over 30 esteemed teachers worldwide. Robin even shares some of her own videos on the platform. MFML is easily accessible via desktop or app, allowing users to download videos for offline use or stream live sessions.
