Welcome to Ayr Archery Club! Located in Doonside, Alloway, Ayr Archery Club is a friendly club in South Ayrshire, Scotland. The club was originally founded in 1951 and re-founded in 1969. Ayr Archery Club enjoys a fabulous shooting ground at Doonside, just outside Ayr, as well as at the new Ayr Academy in Ayr.
The club welcomes everyone from ages 8 onwards and has a current membership of around 50 members, including both senior and junior members. Junior members are welcome from the age of 8, subject to parental membership and supervision, and individual membership is available from the age of 12. The club has a growing junior membership who enjoy novelty shoots, practise sessions, coaching, and taking part in competitions.
Ayr Archery Club shoots all year round, with outdoor shooting taking place from April to August and indoor shooting from August to April. During the indoor season, shooting sessions are held on Thursdays from 7. 00pm to 10. 00pm and Sundays from 12.
00pm to 4. 00pm at Ayr Academy on University Avenue in Ayr. During the outdoor season, shooting sessions are held on Mondays from 6. 00pm until dark and Thursdays from 6.
00pm until dark at William JM Mowatt Playing Fields in Alloway, South Ayrshire.
