Welcome to Auckland Yoga and Retreats, a leading yoga studio and retreat centre located in West Auckland. Led by experienced yoga instructors Susze and Victoria, our studio offers a wide range of classes and workshops to help you find balance, peace, and strength in your yoga practise.
Susze is a passionate yoga instructor, mindfulness practitioner, and retreat facilitator. With a love for both sweaty and energising flows, as well as gentle yin classes, Susze offers a diverse range of classes to suit every individual's needs. She has personally experienced the transformative power of yoga and mindfulness in overcoming severe anxiety and depression, and she brings this knowledge and compassion into her teaching. In addition to weekly group yoga classes, Susze also hosts mindfulness stress-relief workshops and regular yoga retreats both in Auckland and overseas.
Victoria, originally from Ukraine, has been practising and teaching yoga for many years. Her journey into yoga began with a Russian internet video and body balance classes at a gym. With a love for movement in all its forms, Victoria also practises Muay Thai and brings her expertise in somatic movement to her yoga classes. Somatic Yoga, a blend of traditional yoga practise and somatic movement in the tradition of Thomas Hanna, allows students to explore movement beyond the mat and cultivate a deeper mind-body connexion.
At Auckland Yoga and Retreats, we offer a variety of courses, workshops, and retreats to support your wellbeing. Our Stress & Anxiety Course/Workshop is designed to help you identify stressors in your body, calm your mind, and develop mindfulness and meditation practises. We also offer private and group Sound Healing sessions to help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, and promote overall well-being and happiness.
In addition to our studio offerings, we also host community classes at the Avondale Community House. Victoria leads somatic movement-infused contemporary yoga classes, while Susze focuses on slow-paced Hatha with an emphasis on stress-relief. Both classes are suitable for beginners, providing a welcoming atmosphere for students of all levels.
