Active Birth Centre is excited to announce the upcoming Active Birth Professional Online Course! This four-week programme is accredited by the Federation of Antenatal Educators (FEDANT) and will be delivered by experienced instructors Janet Balaskas, Jill Benjoya Miller, and Lola Alcaraz-Perez on June 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th, 2024, via Zoom.
The course is divided into two modules. Module 1, 'Active Birth Physiology,' will cover the physiological aspects of Active Birth from 10 am to 1 pm, suitable for birth professionals looking to integrate this approach into their practice. Module 2, 'Teaching Active Birth,' runs from 2 pm to 5 pm and focuses on teaching Active Birth to parents. Completing both modules qualifies participants to lead the Active Birth Workshop and receive a FEDANT accredited certificate.
Feedback from Julia, an NHS Community Midwife Manager, highlights how the training has enriched her practice and work with women and families.
This training is ideal for antenatal teachers, yoga instructors, midwives, doulas, students, and experienced mothers interested in teaching Active Birth. It emphasises promoting instinctual behaviour and supporting the natural birth process. To apply for the course, obtain the application form and prospectus from the provided source and embark on this enriching journey!
