Absolute Taekwondo Association is a well-established martial arts school located in Sutton Coldfield, New Zealand. Offering both adult and children's classes, they provide top-quality instruction in the art of Taekwondo. Led by Master John McNally, a 7th-degree black belt, and his team of experienced instructors, Absolute Taekwondo Association has been instructing since 1997.
The school focuses on the original Chang Hon military version of Taekwondo, which incorporates not only kicking abilities but also hand techniques. This style, known as ITF, differs from the Olympic sport version. Students will learn flexibility, power generation, self-control, real-life self-defence applications, and gain self-belief and confidence.
Absolute Taekwondo Association caters to all ages, from 4 to 74, and ensures the safety of their students by having government-enhanced DBS checked instructors. They are fully qualified and registered with the National Governing Body for the United Kingdom and internationally. They are also registered with the Taekwondo Council United Kingdom and International Taekwondo Council.
The school prides itself on helping students achieve various goals, such as getting fitter, improving confidence, enhancing flexibility, and developing co-ordination. The instructors are dedicated to pushing, encouraging, and challenging students to achieve their full potential.
Absolute Taekwondo Association offers internationally certified, fully insured, DBS checked, and first aid qualified martial art lessons. Group lessons are available for individuals looking to improve their fitness, lose weight, gain new skills, learn effective self-defence, and develop life skills, including conflict resolution. The school also emphasises the importance of safety and awareness. Classes are held at Sutton Grammar School for Girls, with beginner classes on Sundays from 6. 30 pm to 7.
30 pm, and advanced and senior classes from 7. 30 pm to 8. 30 pm. On Wednesdays, there are advanced and senior classes from 7.
30 pm onwards.
For those looking for a more personalised experience, Absolute Taekwondo Association offers one-on-one lessons. These lessons provide personal instruction tailored to individual goals and can take place at the student's home or a suitable location of their choice.
The school has a dedicated team of instructors, including James Whitehouse, a 3rd-degree Taekwondo instructor, Mr. Joseph Lynch, a 2nd-degree TKD instructor, and Mr. Adrian Sweeney, also a 2nd-degree instructor. Mr.
Sweeney is the official instructor teaching in Armagh and is the Northern Ireland representative. He is also Master McNally's right-hand man and the secretary of the ATKDA Association.
Absolute Taekwondo Association is conveniently located in Sutton Coldfield and also serves the nearby areas of Four Oaks, Streetly, Erdington, Boldmere, and Mere Green. They offer martial arts classes for children, ladies, and adults, and believe in the importance of practising in mixed classes to enhance learning from different age groups.
