ABC – Alicia Burke Coaching is a personal training service based in Leeds, run by Alicia Burke. Alicia is a dedicated personal trainer who is passionate about helping people live happy and healthy lives and achieve their outstanding goals. She discovered her love for fitness while studying her degree in Dance Performance and decided to pursue a career as a personal trainer alongside her studies.
With years of experience as a fitness instructor, pool attendant, dance coach, and personal trainer, Alicia knows the importance of standing out in a saturated industry. She continuously starts new classes and ventures, as well as completes further training to expand her knowledge and skills.
In 2018, Alicia set a personal goal to compete in a bodybuilding competition. She dedicated a year to training and pushed her body and mind to new limits. Achieving her goal and participating in four competitions, including the UK Championships, made her a better coach by allowing her to understand the client's perspective and empathise with their challenges.
Alicia's most recent and significant achievement is becoming a mother to her baby boy in January 2021. This experience inspired her to specialise in pre and postnatal exercise courses. She now focuses on working specifically with new moms, providing support for bodily changes and all the challenges that come with parenting.
ABC - Alicia Burke Coaching offers a variety of services to cater to different needs and budgets. Alicia conducts group exercise classes suitable for all abilities, including strength and HIIT, boxfit, pilates, dancefit, bootcamp, buggyfit, and slingfit. Additionally, she provides nutrition coaching with monthly and one-off plans, meal plans, macro calculation, healthy recipes, support, and advice, along with access to the ABC food tracking software.
For those looking for a more personalised approach, Alicia offers 1-1 and semi-private personal training. This can be gym-based, mobile, or online, and includes a full training plan, nutrition coaching, and full support to achieve individuals' specific goals. Clients also have access to a private WhatsApp group for additional support and flexible session times.
Alicia holds several qualifications, including Level 3 Personal Trainer, pre and postnatal exercise and nutrition specialist, nutrition for health and exercise specialist, 1st Class BA Hons Dance Performance – Dance Science, exercise referral specialist for health management, Level 2 Fitness Instructor, and Level 2 Exercise to Music Instructor. She is also a pool emergency responder.
To stay updated and enhance her expertise, Alicia continually pursues continued professional development. She has completed courses in functional movement training, advanced resistance training, circuits, diabetes, core training, boxing and padwork, and kettlebells.
