Gaulton Academy of Martial Arts

Stephen Gaulton, well-known in the martial arts community, leads the Gaulton Academy of Martial Arts (GAMA), previously known as AMC Leeds. GAMA offers an extensive range of classes and personal training sessions in Self Defence, Martial Arts, and Fitness Training.

The training programmes at GAMA blend various martial arts styles, such as weaponry, kickboxing, trapping, grappling, kettlebell coaching, and functional fitness, making it suitable for beginners and experienced martial artists alike.

GAMA was proud to host the Inosanto European Instructor Conference 2020, where participants trained in disciplines like Jun Fan Gung Fu, Jeet Kune Do, Muay Thai, Pradal Serey, Filipino Martial Arts, and Silat. Guro Inosanto, at 83, impressed everyone with his enduring skill and knowledge.

To enhance learning, Stephen Gaulton has recorded several tutorials with the Warrior Collective. These cover topics such as sinawali heaven 6, Panantukan entries, Puta Kapala takedown, knife disarms, Jun Fan trapping, and blending ranges in Jeet Kune Do.

GAMA offers a flexible timetable. On Tuesdays, there are GAMA Fit, Jeet Kune Do, and Filipino Martial Arts classes. Thursdays focus on Panantukan and Thai Boxing, while Saturdays include Filipino Martial Arts and Yoga classes. Classes are held at Unit 9 Curtis House Business Centre, Berking Avenue, Leeds LS9 9LF.

GAMA stands by three guiding principles: no egos, no belts, no grades, no attitudes. The aim is to foster an inclusive and supportive environment, treating everyone as a peer and friend while prioritising quality teaching and hard training.
