That's Dancing – Adelaide is a well-established sports club located in Adelaide, South Australia. With 25 years of experience, the club prides itself on providing a safe and welcoming environment for dancers of all ages and skill levels. Led by dance director Renee, That's Dancing emphasises a community environment where everyone feels like a part of the family.
Throughout its history, That's Dancing has achieved numerous great milestones. One notable achievement was winning Platinum Gold Awards at Hollywood Bound in Melbourne in 2016. The club's Opens Performance Troupe competed against top dance schools from across the country and received high praise for their performance of 'Ghost Town'. This accomplishment is cherished as one of the fondest memories for the Opens students.
Another significant milestone for That's Dancing was the opening of interstate locations in Darwin, Gold Coast, and Canberra in 2016. While these studios enjoyed five years of success, Renee decided to bring her business ventures back to her roots in South Australia, demonstrating her commitment to her home state.
In 2019, That's Dancing had the opportunity to showcase their talent on the Royal Caribbean Radiance of the Seas cruise ship. The THDA team performed a 70s/80s/90s extravaganza to sold-out audiences and received standing ovations. The dedication and hard work put into rehearsals paid off, as the dancers received glowing reviews from both passengers and staff members.
The club also values community involvement. That's Dancing has been invited to perform at the Brighton Jetty Classic every year since 2014, impressing the directors with their exceptional performances. This event allows the club to entertain a large crowd and contribute to the local community.
Above all, That's Dancing is committed to creating a supportive community for its dancers. The club believes in open lines of communication and encourages dancers to excel not only in their dance training but also in their academic studies and working lives. Renee, the dance director, personally engages with the dancers and their families, making them feel valued and supported.
Education is highly valued at That's Dancing. The club celebrated five year twelve students achieving an ATAR of 90+ in 2020, all of whom danced and taught during the year. This highlights the club's commitment to striking the perfect work/life balance and prioritising education as a key aspect of dancers' lives.
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced dancer, That's Dancing – Adelaide is the perfect place to develop your skills and become part of a supportive and welcoming community. Join today and experience the joy of dance in a friendly and nurturing environment.
