Cheerleading is a rapidly growing sport in Australia. Originally from the USA, it was once seen only as pre-game and half-time entertainment at sporting matches, however, it has become a highly skillfull and competitive sport internationally. Cheerleaders are judged on routines that incorporate tumbling, stunts, pyramids and choreography. Cheerleaders can start as young as 3 and are graded based on their skill and ability.
