The South Australian Ice Skating Association (SAISA) is a sports club located in Adelaide, South Australia. As a member organisation of Ice Skating Australia and the recognised State sporting organisation for ice skating in South Australia, SAISA is dedicated to promoting and developing the sport within the state.
SAISA members have the privilege of training at the IceArenA, which is also home to the renowned Ice Factor programme. This state-of-the-art facility provides athletes with top-quality ice surfaces and training amenities to help them reach their full potential in the sport.
Affiliated clubs under SAISA include the Silver Blades Figure Skating Club, Noarlunga Figure Skating Club, and SA Synchronised Ice Skating Club. SAISA board member Tara O'Connor and member coach Sean Adram have also passed prestigious international exams, highlighting the dedication and expertise within the club.
SAISA is proud to honour the contributions of individuals who have made a significant impact on the sport. Nicola Reese and Moira Henningsen were elected as Honorary Life Members in recognition of their valuable service to figure skating in South Australia.
The dedication and talent of SAISA members were showcased at the Porter Classic in Michigan, USA. Adelaide Ice Magic's Advanced Adult Team secured two gold medals in the Travelling Circle and Rotating Wheel divisions in the Best of Elements category.
