Tennis and Social Club. In the 1970s, there was an increased demand for tennis facilities in the area, and plans were made to expand the club's infrastructure.
In 1975, the club successfully obtained a lease for the land on Furnew Street, where the club is currently located. The construction of the new facilities began in 1978 and was completed in 1980. The club now boasts 8 plexipave courts and a multi-use clubhouse.
The club has always been committed to promoting tennis in the community. Its head coach, Stephen Sruk, is a former ATP player who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the coaching team. The coaching programme caters to players of all ages and skill levels, offering group lessons, private lessons, and squad training.
Membership at Springvale North Tennis Club is available for families, adults, and juniors. Members enjoy year-round access to the facilities, as well as a range of benefits specific to each membership category. Regular competitions, including singles and doubles tournaments, are held for players of all abilities.
In addition to coaching and membership, the club also offers court hire to schools, clubs, and businesses. The tennis courts and clubhouse can be hired for group sports and activities, subject to availability.
