They offer services such as VO2 max and lactate testing, programmes and coaching, skinfold measurements, sweat testing, resting metabolic rates, gift certificates, and digital training programmes.
The philosophy at METS is to engineer training gadgets into tools for change and use data-driven science to optimise athletes' performance. Located at 16/17-21 Miles Street in Mulgrave, METS Performance Consulting operates from 6 am to 9 pm, Monday to Thursday, 6 am to 5 pm on Fridays, and weekends by request.
The director and founder of METS Performance Consulting is Luke McIlroy, who holds a Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science from Deakin University. With his unique knowledge of endurance physiology, Luke specialises in helping athletes of all abilities achieve appropriate training stimuli in time-efficient and highly focused sessions. He is skilled at interpreting physiological data to determine heart rate and power/pace training zones for scientifically backed training and guaranteed performance improvements. Luke brings a wealth of experience in the sporting industry, having been involved in various sports like state-league VFL football, triathlons, criterium racing, track cycling, and distance running.
