Throughout the Track and Field Season, which spans from September to March, Macquarie Hunter Athletics Club organises various events and training sessions. Additionally, AWD events are conducted on Saturday mornings, generally starting at 9-10:30am. The club also offers training sessions on Tuesday afternoons.
The Friday Night carnivals feature graded events for athletes under 13 years old and above, supplementing the usual Little Athletics age events. Senior athletes are also invited to participate in the u/17's programmed events. Non-Seniors can access free “On-Track” training on Tuesday afternoons during the athletics season. For the younger age groups, the Friday Night carnivals include four events, while the older age groups have five or more events.
Macquarie Hunter Athletics Club aims to create a memorable experience for its members both on and off the track. The club's philosophy centres around “Bringing Out the Best In All Athletes,” while the committee's vision is to “Make Athletics a Fun Social Event. ” The club encourages a strong sense of community and welcomes athletes and families from all backgrounds and skill levels.
