Kickboxing is a combination of various stand-up combat sports using punching and kicking, historically from karate mixed with boxing, kickboxing is practiced as a contact sport, health and fitness as well as self-defence discipline. With various international associations, bouts are organised with different groups which use varying rules such as ‘clinching’ or use of knees.
