One of the notable events organised by the association is the EMCA Bear Cup, an annual tournament held between the affiliated clubs. Kew, Ivanhoe, Lilydale, MCC, Monash, and Ringwood all take turns hosting this event, where players compete for the prestigious Bear Cup trophy, a little stuffed bear in a silver cup. The most recent Bear Cup was held at Lilydale on 19th March 2023.
