Beats Dance Studio is a sports club located in Newcastle, with several conveniently located studios in Fletcher, Mayfield, Stockton, and Merewether. The studio is committed to nurturing talent and promoting a passion for dance in a safe and caring environment. With a team of professional and experienced teaching staff, Beats Dance Studio offers a world of knowledge and expertise in the dance industry.
At Beats Dance Studio, dancers of all levels and ages are catered for, from beginners to advanced, ages 3 years old to adults. The studio specialises in a variety of dance styles including Funk, Jazz, Street Tap, Hip Hop, Cheerleading, Contemporary, Ballet, and Acro. Students have various opportunities to grow and develop their skills, such as exams, performance work, workshops, and teaching programmes and positions.
The studio's jazz classes cover a range of styles, from Theatre/Broadway Jazz focusing on technique and rhythm, to modern Funk Jazz inspired by music video clips and artists like Chris Brown and Missy Elliot. For senior students, the Jazz/Funk/Hip Hop style is taught, incorporating freestyle and the freshest moves.
In addition to jazz, Beats Dance Studio offers a range of other dance styles including Street Tap, Contemporary, Cheerleading, Ballet, Stretch Technique, and Acrobatics. The studio also has a dedicated and qualified teaching staff who are passionate about passing down their knowledge and talents to their students.
Miss Carina, the studio's principal, is a qualified dance teacher and accredited Zumba instructor. She started dancing at the young age of 3 and is grateful for the teachers who inspired her passion for dance. Miss Emily, a former Knights Cheerleader, is also a qualified teacher and assists Miss Carina in managing the studio. Miss Amanda, a dance teacher and top 24 contestant on Australian Idol, shares her singing and vocal training expertise with the students.
Miss Donna, a tap teacher, is a teacher and part owner of the LGTDA Syllabus, and has been running her own studio for over 30 years. Miss Maddi, who has been dancing since the age of 3, specialises in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, and Hip-hop.
