To practise. I believe that yoga is not just about physical poses, but also about finding peace, balance, and self-awareness in our daily lives.
At Yoga with Dawn in Aireys Inlet, you can expect a warm and welcoming atmosphere where everyone is encouraged to practise at their own level. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced yogi, there is a class for you. Our classes are held at the Aireys Inlet Community Hall, conveniently located next to the tennis courts on 6 Great Ocean Road.
Dawn, our fully qualified yoga teacher, has been practising yoga for over 30 years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her classes. She holds a diploma in Hatha Yoga (500hrs), a postgraduate in Yin Yoga (300Hrs), and has completed an additional 500 hours in various other trainings, workshops, and studies. Dawn is an eternal student herself and is constantly attending workshops and trainings to expand her knowledge and improve her teaching skills.
During our Hatha Yoga classes, we focus on holding each pose for at least 5 breaths, creating a meditative practise that aligns the mind, body, and spirit. This class is great for general health and vitality. If you prefer a slower-paced practise, our Yin Yoga classes are perfect for you. In Yin Yoga, we hold poses for longer periods of time, allowing the body to lengthen, release, and unwind.
This practise helps calm the mind, release tension, and promote overall wellbeing. For those who prefer a more flowing sequence, our Vinyasa Flow classes combine movement and breath, creating a dynamic practise that strengthens the body and enhances flexibility.
In addition to our regular classes, we also offer private classes via Zoom. This is a great option if you prefer one-on-one guidance or have specific goals or concerns.
At Yoga with Dawn, we understand that meditation is an important part of yoga practise. While we do not offer guided meditation as a regular class, we do incorporate a short pranayama (breathwork) at the beginning and end of each practise to help centre the mind and connect with the breath.
Don't just take our word for it, hear what our students have to say. Louise, one of our yoga students, describes Dawn's classes as enjoyable and praises her vast knowledge. Sue Emery, another student, shares how yoga has helped her relax and feel good, thanks to Dawn's guidance. Even fellow yoga teacher Eva Burman loves Dawn's classes and finds them inspiring and fun.
