Yoga with Alison is a renowned Yoga instructor in Haywards Heath, offering a range of classes including Gentle Yoga, Pregnancy Yoga, Postnatal Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and One-to-One sessions. With a focus on small, intimate classes, Alison provides a personalised experience to her students, allowing them to connect deeply with their mind and body.
In the Gentle Yoga classes, held every Monday from 7:30 pm to 8:45 pm at Hapstead Hall, Ardingly, participants can expect a soothing and mindful practise. Alison draws inspiration from the changing seasons and the ancient roots of yoga, incorporating pranayama (breathing techniques), mudra (hand gestures), and asana (poses) to help students reconnect with themselves. Regardless of their level of experience, both seasoned yogis and beginners will find a welcoming space to grow their practise. At the end of the class, Alison offers an optional face massage to provide rejuvenation and relaxation.
Participants can also enjoy a cup of homemade seasonal tea, fostering a sense of community and warmth.
For those seeking a more restful experience, Alison offers Sunday Slowdown Restorative Yoga classes, which take place once a month at Pickeridge Farm Studio, Cob Lane, Ardingly. These 90-minute sessions allow participants to take time for themselves and indulge in deep relaxation. Restorative Yoga creates a safe and nurturing environment through the use of props and gentle poses, enabling the body and mind to recharge and rejuvenate. Each class consists of 3 to 5 fully supported postures that require no effort from the muscles, resulting in a more rejuvenating experience than a simple nap.
These classes align with nature's cues, transitioning from Autumn to Winter and encouraging a sense of slowing down, turning inward, and hibernating.
Alison's classes have limited spots, with a maximum of 12 people to ensure a personalised and intimate experience. Class bundles are available at the start of each half-term, and drop-in classes are priced at 17 per session. There is also one 10 community place available per class for those who may find the cost prohibitive. Participants are advised to bring a yoga mat, blanket, and mug to ensure their comfort during the practise.
To attend Yoga with Alison's classes, participants can book online through the website or contact Alison directly.
