Welcome to YogaVahini, a sanctuary of specialized yoga therapy, training, and research. Rooted in the esteemed tradition of Sri T. Krishnamacharya and Sri TKV Desikachar, YogaVahini honors each individual's unique strengths and challenges. Since its foundation in 2016 as a Public Charitable Trust, YogaVahini has been on a mission to integrate yoga therapy into mainstream healthcare and make its benefits accessible to rural and underserved communities.
At the heart of YogaVahini lies a vibrant community of practitioners, students, teachers, and therapists, all united by a shared journey of learning and growth. By fostering an environment where personal learning flows seamlessly into daily life, YogaVahini ensures that each individual's practice evolves joyfully and organically. The center offers intensive and flexible training programs, including the foundational Yoga Sadhana, a two-year Yoga Acharya Program, and a comprehensive three-year Yoga Vaidya Program.
The founders, Saraswathi Vasudevan and Sundar Ganesan, bring a wealth of experience and deep commitment to the path of yoga and healing. Saraswathi, with three decades of yoga practice and teaching, has trained under the guidance of Sri TKV Desikachar and holds advanced degrees in Nutrition and Psychology. Sundar complements her expertise with his extensive background in yoga studies, Indian philosophy, and traditional chanting. Together, they lead YogaVahini with a vision of making personalized yoga therapy a credible and respected profession.
YogaVahini is more than just a yoga studio; it's a nurturing community dedicated to wellness, wholeness, and wisdom. With upcoming courses and programs, YogaVahini invites everyone to join this exciting journey towards better health and well-being.
