All different disciplines to share their knowledge and expertise at Yoga Turkey, a yoga studio located in the peaceful village of Glky on the Aegean coast of Southwest Turkey. With over 20 years of experience, Yoga Turkey has been providing happy yoga retreats from May to October.
At Yoga Turkey, they believe in creating a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for like-minded yoga enthusiasts. Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner, their courses are tailored to meet the needs and experience of all students. International teachers offer their rich and diverse experience to small groups, ensuring that each student receives close, individual attention.
Visitors to Yoga Turkey stay in small and friendly family hotels situated on the seaside or amidst mandarin orchards. A gentle walk on a country lane brings you to the Yoga Centre, where you can practise yoga and enjoy delicious, mainly vegetarian meals prepared by a village cook. The warm tradition of Turkish hospitality is evident in the generous sharing of meals, which delight the eye and nourish the soul with their vibrant colours and enticing aromas.
To reach Yoga Turkey, visitors can fly into Bodrum/Milas (BJV) Airport, which is approximately 45 minutes away by car. During the scenic ride along the seaside and through the pine forests, guests immediately begin to absorb the fresh and scented atmosphere that liberates their breath.
Yoga Turkey offers a range of activities and amenities to complement their yoga courses. Each day starts with the main yoga practise followed by lunch. In the afternoons, guests have plenty of free time to explore Bodrum, visit Turkish baths, explore local markets, go walking across the hills, relax by the seafront, or enjoy the pool. In the early evenings, there is a second, quieter class before supper on most days.
Additional activities such as Thai massage or shiatsu, as well as walking in the mountains and forests, are available depending on the week of your visit.
The cost for a one-week course at Yoga Turkey varies depending on the season, with discounts available for early booking and previous visitors. The cost includes tuition, hotel accommodation for seven nights, and all meals except for three evenings when guests have the option to eat out in Bodrum or by the sea, immersing themselves in the local atmosphere. Each course starts on Tuesday at 10 a. m.
and concludes on Sunday evening, with Monday reserved as a day of rest and travel.
