Yoga Oasis is a small and friendly yoga studio located in Wylde Green, New Zealand. The studio aims to create a safe and relaxed atmosphere for yoga enthusiasts of all levels, from beginners to experienced yogis. They offer a wide variety of classes including Hatha, restorative, Yin yoga, beginners, flow classes, Pilates, and relaxation.
The studio is proud to have highly qualified and passionate teachers who have undergone extensive training. The teachers at Yoga Oasis believe in teaching yoga safely and welcome all abilities. They believe that yoga is for everybody and that everyone can benefit from this beautiful practise.
One of the instructors at Yoga Oasis is Rachel Hassett. Rachel began her personal practise to stretch out after the gym and quickly realised the physical benefits of yoga were just a small part of its magic. Inspired to share her love for yoga, she became a certified Hatha yoga teacher with a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certificate. She further expanded her knowledge by obtaining a 50-hour Pregnancy Yoga certificate and a 50-hour Yin yoga certificate.
Rachel believes in making yoga accessible to everyone and encourages the use of props in her classes.
Another instructor at Yoga Oasis is Josie Lindley, a sports therapist and Pilates teacher with ten years of experience in the industry. Josie discovered Pilates after experiencing fatigue and decreased strength following an appendicitis. Through attending Pilates classes, she regained her strength, developed her core, and found newfound energy. Inspired by its rehabilitative properties and ability to enhance athletic ability, Josie decided to become a Pilates teacher.
She completed her Pilates teacher training with Body Control Pilates, a clinical method that incorporates medical and sports research.
Yoga offers numerous physical benefits, which range from improved flexibility and increased muscle strength to improved posture and protection from injury. It strengthens and protects the spine, improves bone health, circulation, adrenal gland function, blood pressure, digestion, and more. However, the practise of yoga extends beyond its physical benefits. The physical postures (asana), controlled breathing (pranayama), and meditation (dhyana) contribute to a sense of inner peace and calmness.
Yoga can reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep quality, and promote a general sense of well-being. In a busy world, yoga allows individuals to be in the present moment and reconnect with themselves, bringing a sense of stillness and inner peace.
Yoga is a practise for everyone and can benefit people of all ages and abilities. Yoga is free from judgement and competition, encouraging individuals to listen to their bodies and do what feels right for them. It is not a requirement to be flexible to practise yoga.
In addition to yoga classes, Yoga Oasis also offers massage services provided by Rachel. However, please note that these services are temporarily unavailable. The massage services include aromatherapy massage using essential oils and Indian Head Massage to release tension and improve circulation.

Currently, most of the classes are conducted online, but Yoga Oasis also offers one-to-one sessions and small group classes.
Overall, Yoga Oasis is a welcoming and inclusive yoga studio that offers a range of classes to cater to different preferences and abilities. With dedicated and knowledgeable teachers, the studio aims to provide a safe and nurturing space for individuals to practise yoga and experience its physical and mental benefits.
