Yoga Louise is a well-established yoga studio located in Poole, New Zealand. Founded by Louise Trew, a highly trained and experienced yoga instructor, Yoga Louise offers a wide range of classes, retreats, events, workshops, and private sessions.
Louise is a dedicated practitioner and teacher of Hatha Yoga, which focuses on finding balance between opposing elements in the mind, body, and breath, much like the concept of Yin and Yang. She completed her training with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2009 under the guidance of Wendy Haring and Val Goodier.
One of Louise's specialities is teaching the evidence-based 'Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs' programme, a 12-week course designed to improve back health and function. Additionally, she has received specific training in 'Yoga for Menopause', offering a modified yoga practise to support women with stretches, breathing techniques, and mindful meditation. Moreover, Louise has further specialisations in Somatic movement and Yoga for Osteoporosis.
With a passion for making yoga accessible to all, Louise also teaches 'Gentle Years Yoga', a modified chair yoga practise that is suitable for older adults and individuals with injuries or disabilities. She is dedicated to bringing mindfulness and breath awareness into her classes, as these tools are powerful in finding peace and calm amidst the busyness of modern life.
