Chris, the organizer at Life Cowichan, wants to personally invite everyone in the sports community to explore their yoga studio located in Vancouver. Life Cowichan is a non-profit that promotes the Yoga in Daily Life System. They offer yoga and meditation classes that are perfect for beginners, focusing on improving health and well-being through yoga postures, breathing techniques, deep relaxation, and meditation. Their systematic and safe approach brings harmony to body and mind.
Chris has made sure that in-person classes are available at The Hub in Cowichan Station, but for those who prefer to practice at home, virtual classes are also available on Zoom. These sessions cover comprehensive levels, including asanas (yoga postures), pranayama (breathing techniques), and meditation.
Life Cowichan is part of a global community and offers subscriptions to their newsletter for updates on events and activities. They follow the Yoga in Daily Life System, which provides practices and methods for achieving physical, mental, social, and spiritual health. Special classes focus on therapeutic effects, rehabilitation, and chakra awakening.
Chris's dedication is rooted in the ancient spiritual teachings of the Vedas, passed down by Swamiji, the organization's founder, and a disciple of Paramhans Swami Madhavanandaji. Swamiji was honoured as Mahamandaleshwar in 1998 and continues to spread the principles of Yoga in Daily Life worldwide.
Join Chris and the supportive community at Life Cowichan to promote peace, health, and well-being through yoga and meditation. It’s a great opportunity to deepen your practice and find inner harmony.
