Grateful for their wisdom and guidance. They have all played a significant role in shaping my journey as a yoga instructor.
At Yogaflow with Faith, Faith Wrighton offers yoga classes that feel like a retreat. Specialising in Yin, Restorative, and Yoga Nidra, Faith's classes are guided by the Lunar cycle, allowing her students to reconnect to an ancient wisdom. Through her classes, Faith helps her students recalibrate and remember their rhythm of inner seasons, flowing in harmony with the natural world.
Faith believes that yoga is an act of radical self-love, not just for oneself, but for those around them. She started her yoga journey over twenty years ago, initially practising to stretch out after workouts. However, after a serious running injury in 2012, Faith turned to a physically demanding style of yoga practised in a hot studio. It was during this time that she discovered the power of linking breath and movement, which made her feel present and calm.
Through this experience, she realised that life stresses seemed to fade away at the end of each class.
Inspired by her newfound curiosity, Faith dove deeper into her yoga practise. She attended a week-long Ashtanga Yoga retreat in the Portuguese mountains in 2012, where she practised daily and explored the heart, history, and spirituality of yoga. In 2013, Faith completed The British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course, which led her to train with Toni Roberts at The Yoga Garden in 2014. She became a 200-hour Yoga Alliance accredited teacher in 2015.
Continuing her yoga education, Faith studied Chakra Vinyasa with Shiva Rea in 2015 and completed the foundational module of Prana Vinyasa with Yoga Campus, led by Alessandra Pecorella, in 2017. In 2018, she delved into the Tantric traditions of yoga through a week of study with Alessandra. Faith also completed her Yin teacher training with Norman Blair during a wintery lockdown in 2021. Additionally, she had the privilege to study meditation in person with Sally Kempton in 2018 and again online in 2020, which deeply shifted her love and dedication to the spirituality of yoga.
For Faith, yoga is not about pushing oneself to the most challenging poses; it's about dropping into the body and feeling. Through different shapes and movements, she guides her students to observe the impact on their thoughts, energy, and breath. This process cultivates a deeper connexion with oneself and nurtures a sense of grounded wholeness, particularly during chaotic and uncertain times.
Faith is incredibly grateful for all her teachers who have encouraged and inspired her throughout her yoga journey. Their wisdom and guidance have played a profound role in shaping her as a yoga instructor. At Yogaflow with Faith, she aspires to create a space where her students can relax, restore, and reconnect, experiencing the transformative power of yoga.
