Yogabirth Yoga Classes, a local Yoga club in London, has the perfect event for all the soon-to-be moms out there. They offer prenatal specially adapted yoga classes specifically designed for small groups of pregnant women. So, if you're expecting and looking to keep fit and relaxed during your pregnancy journey, this event is definitely worth checking out!
The classes take place on Tuesday evenings at 7:15pm in Archway and on Saturday mornings at 10:30am in Camden Town. Our main goal is to help pregnant women prepare for labour and birth, while also promoting relaxation and maintaining optimal health throughout pregnancy.
During the 1.5-hour sessions, participants will have the opportunity to engage in various yoga activities, such as breathing exercises, relaxation techniques, meditation, and yoga postures that are suitable for pregnancy. By practising yoga, you can improve flexibility in the pelvis, strengthen your legs and spine, and tone the pelvic floor, all of which can be beneficial during the birthing process.
But it's not just about the physical aspect of yoga. We also provide valuable information and discussions on different topics related to pregnancy, labour, birth, and parenthood. This includes discussions on pain relief options, alternative ways of dealing with contractions, natural techniques to encourage optimal baby position before labour, and so much more. We believe that by sharing knowledge and experiences, we can empower pregnant women to make informed choices during their pregnancy journey.
Creating a supportive environment is another key aspect of our classes. We understand that pregnancy can sometimes feel overwhelming, so our classes provide an opportunity for pregnant women to connect with others who are going through similar experiences. It's a chance to make new friends, share stories, and gain support throughout this magical journey.
Additionally, we occasionally invite guest speakers, such as homeopaths, cranial osteopaths, acupuncturists, reiki masters, and breastfeeding counsellors, to give short talks during the sessions. This gives participants the chance to learn more about different holistic approaches that can complement their pregnancy experience.
You don't have to worry about bringing any equipment with you. Yoga mats, cushions, belts, and blankets are all provided at both venues. So, all you need to bring is yourself and your baby bump!
