The Antenatal Course consists of 6 weeks of classes, each lasting 2 hours. The classes combine practical learning with a 30-minute physical practise that includes hypno and active birthing exercises, as well as partner yoga to prepare couples for the labour and birth process. The course content includes topics such as understanding the birth process, stages of labour, pain relief options, parental well-being, adjusting to baby and parenting styles, and baby care. Optional activities, such as a dinner and a post-birth lunch, provide opportunities for parents to connect and support one another.
YogaAvenue also offers online workshops for active and hypnobirth partners. These workshops provide a great opportunity for couples to spend quality time together, focusing on supporting each other and building self-awareness and confidence in their abilities to achieve a positive birth experience. The workshops explore relaxation techniques, deep breathing exercises, massage, perceptions of labour, and optimal birthing positions.
