Yoga with Robin Lipsey, the Yoga club in Oxford, invites individuals of all fitness levels to join their gentle and non-competitive yoga classes. Led by the highly regarded instructor Robin Lipsey, these classes promote health, fitness, well-being, and peace of mind in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
Conveniently held in the Yoga Barn, a converted Edwardian barn with stunning views of Port Meadow and Oxford's spires, the classes provide a warm and comfortable space for participants. The barn, situated in Wolvercote, North Oxford, is easily accessible from Oxford, Kidlington, Witney, Wheatley, Botley, Long Hanborough, and Bicester, with ample parking available just a short 2-minute walk away.
Classes run from Monday to Friday, offering flexibility to fit busy schedules. For those who prefer practising at their own pace, Robin also provides a comprehensive audio program called 'Yoga for Busy People', designed specifically for individuals with hectic lifestyles, divided into time frames.
In addition to the regular classes, from 1st May to 30th September, participants have the opportunity to join outdoor sessions in Robin's garden, weather permitting. These pay-as-you-come sessions are open to non-regular members and cost £9.00 per class. To stay informed about these sessions, interested individuals can sign up for the email list.
Robin Lipsey brings over 40 years of teaching experience to her classes, making her one of Oxford's most experienced and highly regarded yoga instructors. As a member of the British Wheel of Yoga, Robin's expertise and knowledge ensure that participants receive top-quality instruction and guidance. Her classes cater to individuals of all ages, with many participants in their 50s, 60s, 70s, and even 80s. While the majority of students are women, Robin's classes have a healthy mix of both men and women.
Whether you're a beginner or have some experience with yoga, Robin seamlessly integrates beginners into mixed ability classes. Beginners will feel welcomed and at ease, finding that yoga is enjoyable and beneficial from the start. However, online-only classes are not open to beginners, as individual attention cannot be provided. Male students are particularly encouraged to join, as Robin believes they have much to gain from the practice. She ensures that male students feel comfortable and supported throughout the sessions.
The live classes accommodate a maximum of 10 members, while the online-only classes have a limit of six spaces. With an average attendance of around eight members for live sessions and four to six members for online sessions, participants can expect individual attention and guidance from Robin.
