VI Yoga School is excited to share details about their upcoming 11th fall Yoga Teacher Training in Duncan, kicking off on October 25th, 2024. Throughout the program, participants will focus on honing their functional breathing techniques, perfecting posture alignment, exploring variations, and mastering the use of props. The training method includes the 'assisted self-practice' Mysore-style model, where students can practice teaching and adjusting fellow yogis in a supportive and enjoyable setting. As an added bonus, participants will also get the chance to Observe, Shadow, & Assist the Lead Teachers during selected studio classes. Beyond the physical practice, students will be encouraged to apply the invaluable knowledge gained from the training to their everyday lives and interactions with others. The teaching approach at VI Yoga School combines guided classes with the traditional Mysore style of learning, prioritizing the student-teacher dynamic to foster excellence in teaching through personalized learning paces. The program wraps up with a comprehensive 300-hour training course, offering the option to earn a certificate upon completing the first 200 hours in Module One or a full 300-hour certification upon finishing the second Module. The curriculum is centered around the Ashtanga Vinyasa Method, Patanjali Yoga Sutras, and the latest insights from Neuroscience, delivering a holistic and authentic training journey.
