Situated between the ancient market town of Chepstow and the City of Newport, the centre is easily accessible, being just 3. 7 miles from Chepstow along the A48 near Crick. With its scenic location, the centre offers archers a unique and enjoyable experience.
The centre is conveniently located for archers from various areas, including Monmouthshire, Glamorgan, Brecknockshire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, and Somerset. Whether you're a beginner or a master bowman, Wye Valley Archery welcomes individuals, families, and groups of all experience levels. Children as young as 7 years old can also participate in archery activities.
In addition to regular sessions, the centre is available for special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, and stag/hen parties. They also cater to team building and corporate events, offering a fun and engaging experience for participants. Equipment can be hired by booking a session online, and the centre operates on a pay-and-play basis, without any membership fees.

Wye Valley Archery Centre boasts excellent facilities, including the newly opened Long Shot snack bar, which is open every Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM. The centre also features a Control Range, where archers can teach new participants, warm up, practise, test new equipment, and tune bows. The range offers flat ground with no light illusions, dead ground, or obstacles, making it ideal for various archery activities.
For those seeking a more challenging experience, the centre offers the 3D Course. This course consists of 40 lifelike foam animal targets placed across two courses. The targets are strategically set up in acres of woods and fields, providing archers with realistic shooting scenarios. Each target has multiple shooting positions assigned to individuals based on their skill levels, offering a unique and tailored experience for every archer.
Ranging from 18 yards to an impressive 80 yards, the targets offer a range of difficulty levels for archers to enjoy. The 3D range also provides breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, creating a serene and picturesque environment.
Wye Valley Archery Centre is dedicated to ensuring the safety and enjoyment of everyone on the course. As such, peg allocation is managed by the centre's team, and archers are required to ask for permission before increasing the difficulty level of their shooting positions. The centre provides clear instructions to hire groups, assigning them to the beginner-level blue pegs. Each archer takes turns shooting at the target, with up to three shots per turn.
Once everyone has completed their shots or expended three arrows, the group moves on to the next target and repeats the process.
