Welcome to WSKF World Shotokan Karate-do Federation in Australia, a premier Karate school located in Morley. Our school offers True Japanese Karate Shotokan Karate, making it the ideal martial art for children, men, and women.
WSKF was founded internationally in 1990 by Sensei Hitoshi Kasuya, with the goal of spreading his unique brand of Shotokan Karate to karate students worldwide, including Australia. Since its inception, WSKF has grown to include over 90 member countries and is recognised as one of the largest mainstream Shotokan organisations in the world.
In Australia, WSKF has been established since its early days, with the base being in Victoria. Western Australia joined WSKF in 1995 under the leadership of Sensei Howard Mutton, who is now the most senior rank in the Australian WSKF organisation. Our instructors are highly experienced and dedicated to helping students achieve their goals through constant and diligent training in this wonderful martial art.
At WSKF, we follow a traditional yet contemporary approach to karate, balancing the budo aspects of the art with participation in modern-day sport karate. This allows our students to develop skills that not only benefit their physical strength and self-defence capabilities but also foster discipline, focus, and mental clarity.
We pride ourselves on the traditional path of karate teaching and learning, which offers a multitude of spin-off benefits that extend beyond the physical aspects of the art. By training with us, you can expect personal growth in areas such as self-confidence, perseverance, and goal-setting.
