Dorota Markham started dancing at the age of three at the Vancouver Royal Academy of Dance in Canada. She later moved to New Zealand and continued her training at the National School of Ballet in Wellington. Dorota has performed in numerous ballet productions and has won several awards for her exceptional talent. She believes in nurturing each student's individuality and helping them reach their full potential as dancers.
Woodbury Dance Studio offers a range of classes for students of all ages and abilities. Starting with the “Start to Dance” class for children under 4, students progress through the Pre-primary and Primary classes before moving on to Grades 1 to 5. For teenagers, there are higher grade classes (6 to 8) aimed at both serious students and those who want to attend once a week. Adults are also welcome to join these classes.
For students who wish to train more seriously, Woodbury Dance Studio offers a Major Course of Study. This involves additional classes on top of the regular grade level, focusing on RAD and IDTA exams such as Intermediate, Advanced 1, and Advanced 2. Students can also participate in RAD Discovering Repertoire, where they learn actual variations from famous ballets.
Woodbury Dance Studio prepares students for an annual performance held at Sidmouth Manor Pavilion. In addition to their regular technique classes, students attend repertoire classes, where they learn exciting new choreography. This provides them with an opportunity to perform and showcase their skills to family and friends.
