Witchford Shotokan Karate Club (WSKC) is a well-established and welcoming karate club located in Ely, New Zealand. The club is run by experienced instructors Sensei Ian Cheale (Nidan/2nd Dan), Sensei Sarah McCambridge (Sandan/3rd Dan), and Sensei Shane Smith (Shodan/1st Dan). Sensei Ian has over 35 years of experience in Shotokan Karate and achieved his Shodan grade in 2010 and Nidan grade in 2014. Sensei Sarah started training at the young age of 12 and has earned her Shodan, Nidan, and Sandan grades under the KUGB.
She joined WSKC in 2022. Sensei Shane, who has been training for 12 years, achieved his Shodan grade in 2019 under SKAI England.
WSKC caters to students of all ages, from 5 to 55 years old, and has established a reputation for providing high-quality training for both children and adults. The club's excellent training standards are evidenced by the fact that members travel from various locations, including Isleham, Chatteris, Longstanton, Needingworth, and Huntingdon to train at the dojo.

WSKC is part of Asahi Shotokan Karate, an organisation founded by Chief Instructor Richard Scoot Sensei in 2014. Richard Sensei has been practising martial arts since the 1980s and started Shotokan Karate in 1991. Asahi Shotokan Karate is a non-political organisation that promotes high standards in traditional Shotokan Karate and is open to individuals of all genders, ages, nationalities, and races. Asahi Shotokan Karate currently consists of six dojos, including Witchford, Gamlingay, Brampton, Potton, Sandy, and Clifton.
