Winter Wild Swim Programme

Join The Forge's four-month Winter Wild Swim Programme and continue your wild swimming journey throughout the colder months. Starting from the Autumn Equinox in late September and ending at the Winter Solstice in mid-December, this program is designed to help participants acclimatise to the cold water, learn about appropriate swimwear, warm-up techniques, and find ideal swim spots and swim buddies.

Led by the experienced swim coach, Hattie, participants will also receive guidance on improving technique, breath work, and assessing risks during winter swimming. In addition, mini-challenges will be set to track progress.

This inclusive program is suitable for all abilities, including beginners, with swim locations in the North Wales/Shropshire area. Specific swim spots and timings will be determined closer to the dates based on weather and water conditions.

Each session will start at 10am with a briefing and swim, followed by refreshments and a debrief. Participants can also join the group for lunch afterward.

Ideally, The Forge encourages participants to attend all five sessions, as each date focuses on a different aspect of winter wild swimming. However, if unable to make all the dates, individuals can reach out to arrange an alternative date if there is enough interest.
