The yoga instructor, Marie, has a personal yoga journey that started many years ago when she sought to become more flexible for dancing. However, it was during a mental health crisis that her practise became regular. Yoga provided her with tools to transform her being, and now she wants to share this practise with others. Marie values both movement and stillness and specialises in Yin yoga, a dreamy and slow practise that helps unravel tension in the body and mind.
In addition to yoga, Marie also has a passion for running and dancing, and she offers Awakened Belly Dance courses as well. With over five years of teaching experience and a global yoga education from studying in India, Australia, Indonesia, and more, Marie brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her classes.
Previous students have praised Marie's sessions, noting that they are everything they had hoped for. From the beautifully curated playlists and the ambiance of the room to the expertly crafted routines, Marie puts her all into each class. By the end of the practise, participants feel deeply relaxed and filled with comfort and contentment. Students appreciate the opportunity to focus on themselves through the extended periods of time spent in each pose, allowing for introspection and a real connexion with the self.
The opportunity to stretch deeply is also valued, especially for those who train regularly. Marie's classes are described as a gift, and individuals are encouraged to give Yin yoga a try.
Testimonials from previous students also highlight the positive impact of Marie's teaching style, which is easy to follow along with in class. Marie is always available to offer help or answer questions about poses or anything else. The in-person classes at Bradmore Community Centre are seen as a godsend, with participants eagerly anticipating physical relief and a reduction in anxiety and stress. Furthermore, the class members are described as supportive and friendly, creating a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
