Established in August 1901 by three Scottish immigrants named James Brown, James Baillie, and James Rodgers, the club has a rich history dating back over a century. The first formal meeting at the Club took place on May 28, 1902, with the election of a Board of Directors who were tasked with arranging for a clubhouse to be built. The official opening ceremony of the club occurred on Saturday, June 28, 1902.
