West Essex Cricket & Tennis Club, located in London, has been around since 1921 and is more than just a place to play sport; it’s a friendly community. Rick, the club organiser, wants you to feel right at home and enjoy every moment of cricket from April to September.

Anyone can join – it doesn’t matter where you’re from or how good you are. Rick and the team love to see fresh faces and aim to create a welcoming space for everyone.

Rick makes sure the club thrives thanks to fantastic volunteers. Whether you're into coaching juniors, umpiring, keeping score, or even helping with social media, there's a role for everyone. Your help makes a big difference!

The club’s games are held at The Rolls Sports Ground in Highams Park, featuring two cricket grounds and cool net facilities for training. And, there’s a new, swanky clubhouse coming in late 2024!

The club has a buzzing Junior section for kids aged 8 to 15, with practice on Thursday nights and matches on Sunday mornings. Rick’s team includes nine top coaches, three of whom are women, so juniors get great guidance.

During winter, the Juniors don’t slow down. They join 6-A-Side indoor cricket and have regular coaching from October to March. For younger kids, aged 5 to 8, there’s the fun ECB All Stars Cricket programme, with sign-ups open till the end of April 2023.

Older beginners and girls aged 8 to 11 have a blast at the Dynamos Cricket sessions on Wednesday evenings from May to August.
